As soon as we start talking about recording a video conference, a meeting or any other private conversation, the question of security comes up. Naturally, nobody wants their negotiations, even the not-so-secret ones, to end up somewhere online, on third-party resources or with competitors. Zoom has a number of tools that help, if not to prevent an information leak, then at least to track how it spreads and identify in good time whoever is disclosing the information. Here are some of them.

First. When a Zoom video conference ends, the host, the inviting party, so to speak, sends all participants a link to the resulting recording. And the host always has a choice of which link to send: the one that only allows the file to be viewed, or the one that also allows it to be downloaded. From experience I can say that it is still better to limit it to viewing. Otherwise you risk losing control of the file and, given a certain level of bad faith on your partners' side, discovering your video recording somewhere on YouTube after a while.

Second.
While recording, Zoom can stick so-called watermarks onto every stream. In that case each meeting participant's screen will show, for example, their first and last name. This rules out any possibility of photographing or re-recording the broadcast and "leaking" it somewhere while remaining unnoticed, since every frame will carry the personal details of the saboteur.

Third.
Zoom can also enable a so-called audio watermark. This is a kind of signal mixed into the audio channel for every participant, or only for a particular one. The signal is inaudible and does not affect the recording, but afterwards it is exactly what helps identify who, for example, leaked the confidential data. In other words, if at some point you find your private conversation somewhere online, you can go to Zoom, have the recording analyzed and find out who is to blame for the leak.

So with ZOOM everything is under control!
The main thing is not to forget to tick the right "protective" boxes in time!
