Yandex.Cloud has provided Rightconf
with a platform for hosting the Zoom service in Russia.
“Yandex.Cloud” and RightConf – the official representative of the Zoom service in Russia – have started providing services to corporate customers together. Companies that buy Zoom licenses from RightConf can now also be hosted on Yandex.Cloud servers. In that case all user traffic will be processed in Russia, which will improve security and connection quality.
Right now Zoom works through servers located in Europe, and the maximum video quality does not exceed 640x360 pixels. On Zoom servers in Yandex.Cloud, HD and Full HD quality will be available.
Also, when Zoom runs on the Yandex.Cloud platform, the time it takes to exchange information with the server will drop 5-7 times for Russian users, so connection quality will improve and audio and video delays will decrease.
The Yandex.Cloud platform meets Russian and international requirements for information protection and security. This opens up the possibility of using Zoom for companies that were subject to internal and external restrictions on using the application.
In addition, in Yandex.Cloud companies get extended capabilities for storing and managing meeting archives, plus monitoring of the resource load of the Zoom application and of cloud resources.
