Polls in Zoom conferences and webinars is a feature for creating surveys with a choice of one or several answer options in real time.

Polls help raise the audience’s interest and maintain engagement during a Zoom conference or webinar. With Zoom polls you can interact with your attendees: find out their opinion, get feedback and collect any other information that can be used in the current or in subsequent online events.

There are various poll formats for getting feedback from the audience: a poll with a single answer option, a poll with several answer options and a poll containing open-ended questions.

When scheduling a Zoom conference or webinar, you can add up to 25 polls. During a Zoom event you can launch one or several polls at the same time, or launch them at certain intervals.

Polls in Zoom can be launched by both hosts and co-hosts, but only hosts can create polls. Hosts and co-hosts cannot vote in their own polls. When launching each poll, you can choose whether the panelists of a Zoom webinar may take part in it. The person who launched the poll will see its results in real time.

Once your participants have voted and you have ended the poll, you can share the results with the audience – this will help you and your attendees analyze the data collected.

After a Zoom conference or webinar, you can generate a poll report for further analysis. The report will contain the following information about the participants who answered a question:

• user name and email address;

• the date and time the answer was submitted;

• the poll question and the participant’s answer.

Polls in Zoom can be conducted anonymously if you do not want to collect personal data.
