A digital teammate for the Zoom Workplace platform: it gathers context from meetings, chats, email and documents — and carries the conversation through to a finished result.
ZoomMate is the intelligent core of Zoom Workplace. An ordinary AI assistant answers a question and forgets the conversation; ZoomMate works differently: it sees the whole flow of work — meetings and their outcomes, chat threads, email, documents, whiteboards and tasks — and holds that context from the first discussion to the finished result.
A problem starts as a chat message, continues in a meeting and ends with a list of action items — ZoomMate turns all of that into a work plan, finds the materials you need, prepares a document or a presentation and creates tasks for the people responsible. With business systems connected, the context extends beyond Zoom: cloud drives, CRM, task trackers and the company knowledge base.
Some capabilities are included in Zoom Workplace at no extra cost — those that work with Zoom's “native” context. Advanced agentic features and integrations with third-party systems require a ZoomMate license and consume AI credits.
An important note on availability. For now ZoomMate runs on Zoom's US infrastructure and supports English only; the product is not available for the public sector, healthcare or education. We will confirm whether it can be enabled for your organization on request.
Three things that set ZoomMate apart from an ordinary AI chatbot
A customer question from a chat is linked to the meeting transcript, emails, files on the drive and the record in CRM. The answer draws on the real history of the work, not on a single question in a vacuum.
The meeting summary turns into a document, the document into a presentation, action items into tasks with owners. Actions that affect people and external systems go to you for confirmation.
The standard mode answers immediately and suits everyday tasks. The advanced mode is one button away, for when you need deep reasoning and search across many sources; it consumes AI credits.
From search across all your work information to agents acting on your behalf
One query searches meetings, chats, documents, uploaded files, the internet and connected business systems all at once. The sources are linked to one another rather than handed back as a list.
Salesforce, Jira, Google Drive, OneDrive, Confluence, ServiceNow and others: ZoomMate reads the data and, where permitted, acts in those systems. They require a license and AI credits.
Through ZoomMate a user sees only what they are allowed to see in the source system: access to the “Sales” folder does not open the “Finance” folder. The administrator chooses what gets indexed.
The agent understands a task in natural language, decides for itself which data and tools are needed, and coordinates the steps: gather the history, check against CRM, prepare a briefing for the meeting.
Automating repetitive tasks in plain words: “every Friday, put together a report on the week's meeting outcomes”. Agentic workflows reach into third-party systems too — creating a task in Jira, updating a record in CRM.
A morning digest, a summary of busy channels, preparation for a recurring meeting. ZoomMate notices repetitive routine on its own and offers to put it on a schedule.
Repeatable methods for common tasks: a pre-meeting briefing, a research report, a review of action items. A skill can be built from your own practice and shared with the team.
An assistant tailored to a team or a function: its own instructions, connected systems and a defined body of knowledge. It runs in an isolated environment and handles multi-step operations — from code to document generation.
ZoomMate performs tasks directly on websites and in web apps — through an extension in your browser or in a separate cloud browser, without touching your computer.
When fresh external information is needed, ZoomMate searches the open web and cites its sources — you can see where every fact came from.
Upload a document of up to 50 MB and ask questions about it, build summaries and drafts on top of it. The file is kept for up to seven days so you can come back to the conversation later.
Terms, abbreviations and the jargon of your industry are added to a custom dictionary — captions, transcripts and meeting summaries stop mangling specialist words.
One teammate, many kinds of work: from meeting prep to end-to-end automation
ZoomMate pulls up the history of past meetings, correspondence, documents and CRM data and assembles a briefing: what was agreed, what is still open, which questions to raise. Instead of an hour of manual work — a finished document.
After a call with the customer — a summary, a follow-up email and next steps; for the proposal — a draft document and a presentation in Zoom Slides built on the same material. The context of the deal is not lost between tools.
A Friday summary of every meeting of the week: decisions, action items, owners and what is coming next. Set it up with a single sentence and it arrives on its own from then on — on schedule, with no manual work.
The agent goes through the project's activity, finds unresolved questions, prepares a status update and creates tasks in a connected system — Zoom Tasks or Jira, whichever you use. A discussion in a meeting reaches the tracker the same day.
We'll give you a remote demo Monday to Friday, 10:00–16:00 Moscow time, answer all your questions and provide trial access so you can explore the system yourself.
