Record your screen and yourself, send the link. A colleague watches when convenient and answers in the comments. That closes the question a meeting used to be called for.
Zoom Clips is short video messaging inside Zoom Workplace. Press Record, show your screen, explain by voice, stop. The clip lives in your Zoom account, not on a disk. The link can go to Team Chat, into an email or into a document.
The recipient opens the clip in a browser or in the Zoom app and watches at their own pace. Comments and reactions collect under the clip, and the view count is shown right there. No separate reply email is needed.
Clips is available in the app on Windows, macOS and Linux, on iPhone and Android, and in the web portal. Clips are stored in the Clips tab and in Zoom Hub, Zoom's shared file library, next to documents, whiteboards and notes.
Not every question is worth half an hour in eight people's calendars. Some of them are closed by a five-minute clip.
The sender records when ready. The recipient watches when free. Time zones, holidays and a packed calendar stop being an obstacle.

From recording to analytics, without third-party software
Three modes: screen with camera, screen only, camera only. Audio and video sources are chosen before recording, quality up to 1080p.

Trim the excess, set the title, description, thumbnail and tags. A call-to-action button can be added to the clip, for example "Sign up" or "Open the document".
Title, description and tags are suggested by AI from the recording's content. A transcript comes with the clip, and search works on it.
Zoom AI builds an avatar from your recorded video and voice. After that a clip is voiced from text, with no filming. Works only on Zoom AI's US cluster.
A link with access settings, sending to a contact or a Team Chat channel, download as MP4, embed code for a web page, a passcode for viewing.
Viewers write under the clip and leave reactions, the author sees the view count. Viewers choose the playback speed themselves.
Who watched, how much and up to which point. Available in Clips Plus, together with translated captions.
Clips live in the Clips tab and in Zoom Hub next to documents and whiteboards, and can be grouped into playlists. A deleted clip waits in the trash for 30 days and can be restored.
Enable Clips for the account, a group or a user. Block downloads, restrict who can share, set a default passcode, enable auto-delete after a set period, apply custom branding.
Clips Basic comes with any account, including the free one: up to 5 clips of 2 minutes each. Clips Plus removes the limits on number and length and adds analytics and translated captions. It is included in the Zoom Workplace Business and Enterprise bundles; on the Pro plan it is added separately, as a paid option.
Wherever an explanation with the screen beats an email and a meeting is overkill
Instead of a fifteen-minute call: open the system, show where to click, send the link. The answer is rewatched, not asked again.
How to fill in a request, how to book leave, how the new section of the portal works. The clip is recorded once and lives in the knowledge base. Tags and transcript search find it.
The key fragment of a meeting is saved as a clip and sent to participants without recording the whole hour. Three minutes to watch, not sixty.
The author walks through the design with commentary, the client answers under the clip. Edits collect in one place, not in three email threads.
A personal demo for a customer with a "Leave a request" button. In support, an answer with the screen shown replaces a long email. Analytics in Plus shows whether it was watched to the end.
A short video to the team instead of a mailing: the tone and the face that text does not carry. When there is no time to film, the avatar records the clip from text.
