Spreadsheets inside Zoom: formulas, charts, collaboration — and AI you can explain the task to in words instead of assembling the formula by hand.
Zoom Sheets is spreadsheets and work with structured data inside Zoom Workplace. The point is to keep operational data in the same place as your meetings, messages, documents and the follow-ups that come out of them, rather than in a separate program cut off from the rest of the working day.
Hence the areas of use: recurring operational data, running projects, source data for reporting, forecasts, reviewing numbers together. The spreadsheet stops being a separate destination you have to go to on purpose — it becomes part of the same workspace as everything else.
Sheets is part of AI Productivity Suite together with Canvas, Paper and Slides. The suite's AI capabilities are enabled by a ZoomMate or AI Productivity Suite license and consume AI credits; without a license, spreadsheets remain available, but without AI and within the limits of your Zoom Workplace plan.
People usually know what they want to calculate. The difficulty is not the question but how to write it as a formula
The task is stated in plain words: summarize by month, calculate a share, flag deviations. There is no need to figure out function syntax for that.
An intent turns into a concrete action on the spreadsheet — a formula, a transformation, a restructuring of the data. The barrier to working with numbers gets lower.
The formula stays visible and stays an ordinary formula: it can be read, corrected and moved. AI help doesn't turn the spreadsheet into a black box.
