Slides

The presentation is built where the work is already happening: a discussion in a meeting, a document or a spreadsheet becomes a finished deck — with a coherent narrative, corporate branding and speaker notes.

What it is

Zoom Slides is a presentation editor inside Zoom Workplace: a deck can be built, edited and presented without leaving the platform. The point is proximity to the material: a presentation usually grows out of a live discussion, plans, research and working documents, and keeping it next to them is more convenient than taking it off into a separate program.

That removes the familiar gap between “we've agreed on everything” and “now someone has to put the slides together”. The deck stops being work that begins after the real work is finished — it is built out of that work itself.

Slides is part of AI Productivity Suite together with Canvas, Paper and Sheets. The suite's AI capabilities are enabled by a ZoomMate or AI Productivity Suite license and consume AI credits; without a license the editor remains available, but without AI and within the limits of your Zoom Workplace plan.

From discussion to deck
  • A whole deck — on request or from a meeting transcript
  • AI builds a coherent narrative, not a list of bullets
  • Images are created and edited in place
  • Consistent company fonts, colors and layouts
  • Compatibility with the familiar presentation format

Slides are built from work you've already done

The material for a deck almost always exists — the only question is how much time goes into moving it around

The source is the discussion

A meeting transcript, the outcome of a conversation or a short description of the task becomes the basis of the deck. There is no need to recall what was agreed and put it together again.

AI builds the narrative

The main ideas are pulled out of the material and arranged into a sequence, not into a set of random bullets. The structure of the talk appears right away.

The deck is ready to present

Consistent design, a sensible number of slides and speaker notes. What's left is finishing the content, not assembling the presentation from scratch the night before.

Capabilities

What you get from Zoom Slides

From the first version of the deck to corporate branding and collaborative editing

A deck on request

The presentation is created from a description in plain words, from a meeting transcript or from existing material. The first version appears in minutes, not over an evening.

The structure of the talk

AI finds what matters in the material and lays it out across slides in a meaningful order. The result is a coherent narrative, not a dump of bullet points on screen.

Editing the content

Sections are rearranged, wording is refined, a piece that is too long is shortened and one that is too short is expanded. The help works through every round of edits.

Speaker notes

Notes for the talk are created for the slides. The deck is ready not only to be shown on screen but to be spoken to.

Corporate branding

Fonts, colors and layouts stay consistent throughout the deck. For materials seen by a client or by management, this removes the manual fiddling with design.

Images in place

Pictures are created and edited right in the presentation, without switching to a separate graphics editor and without hunting for a suitable illustration elsewhere.

Format compatibility

Decks are imported from the familiar presentation format and exported back. Moving to Slides doesn't mean abandoning the materials you have accumulated.

Collaboration

Several people edit the deck at the same time and see each other's changes. Preparing a presentation stops being one person's solo feat.

Connection with the rest of the suite

The idea is born in Canvas, the numbers are calculated in Sheets, the text is polished in Paper — and all of it becomes a deck in Slides, without moving material by hand.

Right next to the meeting

The presentation lives on the same platform where you show it. There is no need to hunt for the right file on a drive a minute before the conversation starts.

Recurring formats

Regular results reviews, status updates and introductory materials for new employees are built to a single pattern — the look doesn't drift from one time to the next.

Limits of use

Honestly: Slides means ordinary slides with margins and layouts, not an infinite canvas; for free-form visual work the platform has Whiteboard. AI features require a ZoomMate or AI Productivity Suite license, consume AI credits, run on the US instance and work in English.

Scenes

Where it works

Anywhere the results of your work have to be presented with slides

01

Preparing for a client meeting

The deck is assembled from the history of correspondence and past conversations instead of being written again before every meeting. The salesperson spends time preparing the conversation, not laying out slides.

02

Campaign planning

The idea, the stages and the expected outcome — in one deck built from the team's working materials. It is easier to discuss when everything is already laid out across slides.

03

Results reviews

Regular metric reviews: the numbers come from spreadsheets, the story around them builds itself, and the look stays the same from quarter to quarter.

04

Onboarding new employees

Training materials and introductory decks: consistent design, easy updates when processes change, and nothing is rebuilt from scratch for each newcomer.

05

Reports for management

A long document is compressed into a deck of a few slides with conclusions. A manager needs the conclusion and the grounds for it, not thirty pages of text.

06

Materials from several departments

Each team brings its own part into a shared deck and edits it alongside everyone else. There is no need to merge five files that were sent over into one.
