Zoom Graphics Toolkitpaid

A question from the audience appears on screen in the brand style, poll results are drawn as a chart, captions run in your font. All of it is web pages at a URL that the broadcast system shows as graphics.

What it is

The Zoom Graphics Toolkit is a Liminal app that takes the data of a Zoom meeting or webinar and serves it as web graphics. Chat, Q&A, poll results, reactions and captions are rendered as HTML and CSS at a URL, and the broadcast system, switcher or digital sign picks that URL up as a source. No screenshots of chat and no retyping of questions.

The app is hosted by you: a self-hosted web application for Windows 10 and macOS 13 and later. It has a graphics editor, your own HTML and CSS, Zoom data templates, animation through Motion and templating through Handlebars.js. The director controls the graphics from a web dashboard: which question to show, when to bring up the poll.

It is part of the Enhanced Media add-on together with ZoomOSC and ZoomISO, and for Hub Host accounts it is unlocked on Zoom Webinars Plus and Events.

What turns into graphics
  • A scrolling chat and highlighted messages
  • Q&A questions chosen by the director
  • Poll results as a chart
  • Captions in your font and colour
  • Emoji fountains in the brand style

The audience screen without manual graphics

An operator retyping questions from chat into titles keeps up with one in ten. Graphics driven by data keep up with all of them.

Question chosen, question on screen

The director selects a question in the dashboard and it appears on air, styled. Poor questions never reach the screen.

The poll draws itself

Voting results are shown as a chart in the company colours while the numbers are still changing.

Captions as part of the design

Zoom's automated captions are shown in your font, colour and position on screen, not in the default box.

Capabilities

What you get from the Graphics Toolkit

Data sources, styling, control

Chat

An animated message feed or highlighting of individual messages. For broadcasts where the audience's reaction is part of the show.

Q&A

Questions from webinar Q&A are routed to production and shown at the director's decision.

Polls

Poll results as a styled chart. Branded design, data from Zoom in real time.

Captions

Zoom captions with customised fonts, colours and design. Accessibility without harming the picture.

Reactions

Participants' emoji as a reaction fountain in your style. The audience's live response on screen.

Graphics at a URL

Every graphic is HTML and CSS at a URL. The broadcast system, switcher or sign shows the address as a source, like any browser layer.

An editor and your own code

An in-app editor, your own HTML and CSS, Zoom data templates, Motion for animation, Handlebars.js for field templating.

The director's dashboard

A web management dashboard: what to show, what to hide, when to bring it up. The director works without touching the broadcast system.

Hosted by you

A self-hosted web application for macOS 13 and later and Windows 10 and later. Meeting data does not go to a third-party server.

Requirements and availability

An Enhanced Media add-on licence assigned to the user, app version from 1.0.1. For Hub Host accounts it is included in Webinars Plus and Events. Paid.

Scenes

Where it works

Wherever the audience sees a screen, not a Zoom window

01

A hybrid conference

Questions from online and from the hall on one screen, styled the same. Polls for both audiences.

02

A corporate broadcast

A leadership address with employees' questions on screen. The director selects them in the dashboard.

03

Training and webinars

Poll results straight into a chart, captions large and readable. The lecturer does not get distracted by graphics.

04

Streaming to social media

Viewers' reactions and chat as an element of the show. Styled for the channel, not for the Zoom interface.

05

Digital signage

A screen in the lobby shows the questions and polls of the running event from the graphics URL, with no separate content.

06

Deployment with RightConf

Styling the graphics to the brand, connecting to the customer's broadcast system, a test run with the director, training. Then support in Russian.

Where it is used

Typical scenarios

Conference

Speaker titles and stills between sections.

A regular show

The same look episode after episode.
